Donation & Contribution Policy
1. Introduction
This Donation & Contribution Policy governs all voluntary financial contributions made to Gwanda Pirates Football Club (“the Club”) through our website, mobile platforms, bank transfers, third-party payment processors, or any officially authorized collection method.
By making a donation, you agree to this Policy.
2. Nature of Donations
All donations made to the Club are:
- Voluntary and unconditional contributions
- Made without expectation of goods, services, tickets, membership, or benefits unless expressly stated
- Not payments for match entry or event access
- Not investments, loans, or equity contributions
A donation does not create ownership rights, voting rights, repayment obligations, or financial returns.
3. Non-Refundable Policy
All donations are final and non-refundable.
Once a donation is successfully processed, the funds are considered transferred to the Club and may be allocated to operational, developmental, or administrative purposes at the Club’s discretion.
Donations will not be refunded due to:
- Change of mind
- Club performance or match outcomes
- Disagreement with Club decisions
- Withdrawal of support
- Event cancellations
- Player transfers or management changes
4. Limited Exceptions
Refunds may only be considered in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate transaction
- Technical payment error resulting in double charge
- Proven unauthorized use of a payment method (subject to verification)
Refund requests must:
- Be submitted within 7 days of the transaction
- Include proof of payment
- Include the transaction reference number
- Be sent to: secretariat@gwandapirates.club
The Club reserves the right to approve or decline any refund request at its sole discretion.
Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method within a reasonable period.
5. Authorization of Payment
By making a donation, you confirm that:
- You are the authorized holder of the payment method used; or
- You have full authorization from the account holder.
The Club reserves the right to report fraudulent transactions to relevant financial institutions and authorities.
6. Allocation of Funds
Donated funds may be used for:
- Team operations
- Youth development programs
- Community outreach initiatives
- Infrastructure and facility improvements
- Administrative and governance expenses
- Player welfare
- Any lawful purpose aligned with the Club’s objectives
Where a donation is made toward a specific campaign or fund, the Club will make reasonable efforts to allocate it accordingly but reserves the right to reallocate funds if necessary for operational sustainability.
7. Data Protection & Privacy
All donor information is processed in accordance with:
- The Constitution of Zimbabwe
- The Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07]
- Applicable regulations issued by POTRAZ (Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe)
- International data protection best practices
Personal information will not be sold or unlawfully disclosed.
8. No Financial Advice
Donations are not financial investments and should not be treated as such. Donors are encouraged to seek independent advice if they have questions regarding the financial implications of charitable giving.
9. Amendments
The Club reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. Updates will be published on the official website and take effect immediately upon publication.
